COLGATE UNIVERSITY

Charter Amendment 1890

March 13, 1890
The Regents met in their room at 10:30 A.M. pursuant to adjournment of January 30, 1890.

The committee reported the protracted hearing given to petitioners and opponents, and their unanimous recommendations that the petition of Madison University for change of name to Colgate University be granted.

Resolved, That the name of Madison University be, and it is hereby changed to Colgate University, and the proper instrument be executed, record and issued to accomplish the change above provided for.
